Workgroup Solutions

Overview

CambridgeSoft’s Workgroup offerings are designed to meet the collaborative and the individual needs of both chemists and biologists across their organizations or groups. The Workgroup products organize and search over inventory, purchase reagents, and record, manipulate and store chemical and biological data in a collaborative fashion. The Workgroup applications are compatible with SQL Server and are accessed through client side applications.

Institutions can choose Workgroup, Desktop or Enterprise solutions.

  • Desktop is appropriate for individual users
  • Enterprise solutions fit large organizations, with extensive customization and service deployment projects typical.
  • Workgroup suites offer an excellent option for groups that work collaboratively and need a shared solution, but may not have the resources to deploy a fully fledged Oracle Enterprise application. There is also a very easy upgrade/migration path from ChemBioOffice Desktop to Workgroup.

Workgroup solutions make excellent choices either for new CambridgeSoft customers or as an easy upgrade for current installations. Collaborating through data, resources, notes, and inventory among scientists is a necessity in today’s competitive climate.

Solution Offerings:

  • ChemBioOffice Workgroup

The ChemBioOffice Workgroup suites are designed for small organizations or groups that want to organize and search over their inventory, purchase reagents, as well as manipulate and store chemical and biological data. The ChemBioOffice Workgroup applications are compatible with SQL Server and accessed through a client side application.

  • Inventory Workgroup

Inventory Workgroup is an application designed to manage the chemical and reagent tracking needs of laboratories and research centers. The system manages data associated with both commercially procured and internally produced chemical substances from their procurement or initial production through their depletion and disposal. Inventory Workgroup is a thick-client SQLServer-based product which is suited for any size organization.

  • E-Notebook Workgroup

CambridgeSoft’s E-Notebook Workgroup is an electronic laboratory management (ELN) system designed to help researchers capture all of the data from their research and laboratory experiments, not just in terms of analytical instrument output but also including data within Microsoft Office documents, chemical and biological structures, and images. E-Notebook Workgroup is 21CFR part 11 compliant and has intellectual property protections. In addition, the search capabilities of E-Notebook facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across all or part of an organization.

Collaboration is vital in all forms of business activity, and chemistry and biology are no exception to this rule, E-Notebook combines leading-edge software and processes in a collaborative visual toolset to help scientists work more effectively together to solve chemistry and biology problems faster, cheaper and better, and hopefully tackle the increasingly complex problems that scientists face.

  • BioAssay Workgroup

BioAssay Workgroup provides flexible storage, retrieval and analysis of biological data. Designed for complex lead optimization experiments, the software supports the quick set-up of biological models. Learning to use and administer the application is straightforward due to the familiar user interface elements incorporated into the application. BioAssay Workgroup is designed to tackle the needs of high and low throughput screening biologists alike by providing an application flexible enough to model any assay, regardless of complexity, through an easy-to-use interface for importing, storing and analyzing the data. The software supports the quick set-up of biological models, automated calculations and curve fitting, data validation, and the creation of customized structure activity reports.
