Description

Member of ChemDraw Control.Atom

Sets and returns whether the atom has an H-dot indicator.

Property type

Read-write property

Syntax

Visual Basic
Public Property IsHDot() As Boolean

Return Type

Boolean

Remarks

Sets and returns whether the atom has an H-dot indicator, or not. To represent a hydrogen atom that is coming out of the plane toward us along the Z-axis, use the H-dot property. It indicates the presence of an implicit hydrogen with specified stereochemistry equivalent to an explicit H atom with a wedged bond.

The atom drawing becomes a dot to indicate the stereochemistry of a single hydrogen atom.

Example

'Declares variables
 Dim myAtom As ChemDrawControl10Ctl.Atom
'Checks that there is an atom loaded in the variable
 If  Selection.Atoms.Count < 1 Then
     Exit Sub
 End If

'Checks if this property is True/False
  If  myAtom.IsHDot = True then
         Text1.Text = "Atom is IsHDot"
     Else
         Text1.Text = "Atom is not IsHDot"
     End If
 End Sub
