Collect

Collect is a cost-effective RS232 and TCP/IP data collection application that helps laboratories reduce manual data collection and data transcription errors by automating data collection from any instrument with an RS232 serial port (balances, scales, pH meters, DO meters, etc.).

  • Data can be sent to a choice of destinations (Excel®, the keyboard cursor , files or databases) providing the flexibility laboratories need when collecting data
  • A library of over 500 pre-configured instrument interfaces simplifies setup for most lab instruments
  • An easy to use parser extracts data from instruments using intelligent number, position or delimiter setting options
  • Enhanced automation capabilities reduce workload for the analyst and provide consistency in the data collection process

Collect’s DIRECT-XL™ technology provides a simple and extremely powerful way to connect RS232 instruments or serial devices directly with Excel spreadsheets. Data can be mapped to specific Excel cell locations so analysts can work in other Excel® workbooks, or even in other applications, while still collecting data to the target Excel® worksheet. When data collection is started, Excel can be automatically launched and the Collect floating toolbar can be used to control the instrument or device directly from the Excel template.
